Bengaluru Moving
#BengaluruMoving is a public transport and mobility campaign. The focus of this project is the create awareness about bus lanes in Bangalore and encourage the use of the same. One of the main targets of this campaign includes young IT workers in the city. The ultimate goal is to mobilize these groups to create public will and demand for more efficient and sustainable public transportation in the city.
Imagine if you could cut through the traffic without causing inconvenience to others? You can do exactly that if you’re riding a bus on Bengaluru’s bus priority lanes! With the first one officially opened on the 1st of July, Bengalureans can now get to their destination faster if they are travelling between KR Puram and Central Silk Board. While BMTC is working hard to ensure the safety of passengers, we must take precautions as well. As the bus fleet in the city increases and the remaining promised priority bus lanes come up, we will truly see #BengaluruMoving
An average Bengulrean can spend up to 243 hours stuck in traffic every single year. Have you ever asked yourself what the implications for that could be? Increased frustration, anger, anxiety, lowered productivity at work, less time with family and of course, rising emissions every year as more and more people move towards private vehicle ownership. We need to demand better, efficient, accessible public transportation for all its residents to truly get #BengaluruMoving
